- Immich - Self-hosted backup solution from your mobile phone - Reddit
So I thought about using the Immich CLI to upload the whole photo directory with the —album flag for each of the 3 users, in order to create the albums, but that would be adding 300% to the amount of storage used, mess up the original directory structure, and doing edits to the original photo directory on the filesystem wouldn’t reflect any
- [GUIDE] How to setup Immich from scratch in 10 minutes. : r immich - Reddit
Here's how I quickly installed Immich and imported 200GB of photos from Google Photos in just a few minutes Btw, I'm on Ubuntu switch to root and go to root directory sudo su cd 2 run the command below curl -s https: get docker com | bash 3 make immich directory and go to immich directory mkdir immich cd immich
- Immich is the perfect Google Photos replacement : r selfhosted - Reddit
Yea Immich is clutch, I've spent way to much time and frustration trying to get on the nextcloud train, unfortunately every single update would break things I've been on immich and seafile to replace that heaping pile of trash literally both apps are leaps and bounds ahead of Nextcloud in terms of speed, and stability
- Immich - Self-hosted photos and videos backup solution from . . . - Reddit
Immich is great and Alex and all other developers are great! I've started using immich about 2mo ago and I am amazed how rapidly the development is going Despite big fat warning about instability I can say that its super stable and reliable
- My opinionated review of Immich, self-hosted Google Photos . . . - Reddit
Immich is different from most existing self-hosted gallery solutions because it is technically not a "photo gallery" per se but more like a backup tool; that is why the top priority when developing is to focus on the native mobile app aspect to backup photos and videos taken from your phone (like a true Google Photos alternative) :) All the web
- Immich vs PhotoPrism : r selfhosted - Reddit
Immich seems to have the hearts minds of the app integration gods out there I find Immich right next to google photos as the available library for a screensaver on my sony TV - for example The phone apps are real apps, not just browsers - far superior
- Trying to set up Immich with https : r immich - Reddit
EDIT: Immich doesn't support SSL, so in order to use https, you use a reverse proxy (Nginx), pointing at http IP 2283 (default for immich), and then enable an SSL Certificate for it (mine is from Let's Encryt)
- Photoprism vs immich vs nextcloud memories : r selfhosted - Reddit
Immich stores your photos in a basic file structure, it's not in a database or something so it's quite easy to make a backup (you do keep backups of everything that matters, right?) and you'd be able to recover your photos without spinning up a new container or anything Immich is not yet finished It's not yet perfectly stable
- Is there any way to set up HTTPS? : r immich - Reddit
Caddy uses a simple 'caddyfile' placed beside the caddy exe to specify the services it ports it listens for (example below) and automatically retrieves a letsencrypt cert on first startup Immich and other proxied services can be standalone or run in docker-- I just have to make sure they use non-conflicting ports example "Caddyfile":
- Use NAS as data folders for Immich : r immich - Reddit
Go to your VM or Container where Immich is, go to resources, Add, select Mount Point Give it an id, usually 1, select your storage which will be the NFS share you set up in the datacenter section, give it a path name, mine is immich, then choose whether or not you want that potentially backed up with any backups of the container vm
