Not worthless, but it indexes on what the seller lists it for because the seller knows more about the house than Redfin For example the higher price could be because significant renovations are done However after a house is sold I find Redfin estimate to be accurate within 1 year of sale because it uses comps to adjust the house value

Redfin is a very efficient way of buying a house, it’s easy to get in and see things, their offer system is good, and the agents are usually experienced but like any other brokerage, some agents are great, and some agents suck You should research the agent rather than just assuming everyone is the same there

Internet prices from Zillow and redfin are fairly accurate It takes the average sale price in your area and compare them with similar sized lots, bedroom, bath, etc what those estimate are very bad at accounting for intangible things like busy roads, very outdated homes, and other factors that don’t show up on a deal

Redfin definitely isn’t perfect, it still has that start-up mentality and is constantly changing things and refining processes, but I respect our leadership (our CEO Glenn Kelman is one of my favorite people on this planet) and I feel like at the end of the day we’re always going in a good direction

After about 4 showings, fired Redfin and found a real agent who had experience and wasn’t so incompetent like Redfin A Redfin agents laziness of not willing to work weekends caused us to lose an opportunity of a house that we really wanted to make an offer on but the seller accepted another offer over the weekend

Thank you! I know this comment is 3 years old but I was looking up a photo of our old house for my son's baby book, and the photo the company took when we were selling was awful The photos from when we bought the house were much better and on Redfin right where you said :)

Redfin has a lot of resources to throw at you so the process has gone smooth Staging, photos, etc are all part of the package You don't need to worry about one person coordinating everything, it's all part of a bigger machine and you have an online dashboard to schedule things and see status
