My Petsmart is hit and miss and it depends wholeheartedly on the type of fish you're buying from them Case in Point: I have 10 Columbian Tetra 's all bought from Petsmart They are some of the healthiest fish I've ever seen and a couple of them are pushing three inches, far beyond the 2 to 2 1 2" max

I have the 48" 75 gallon Marineland "Majesty" Ensemble (tank stand LED combo) I bought on sale at Petsmart for $249 It is basically a shorter 4ft version of the same 6ft model you're looking at While the construction was better than the other Petsmart stands and it used real wood (no melamine or MDF), I still used 2×4's to firm up the corner

Petsmart on the other hand, is pretty much fully operated by the suits as far as what they do and don't sell, but going back to fish meds again, Petsmart has a much better selection to pick from They look pretty similar on the outside, but that little bit of employee influence can make or break a store

I have a Petsmart right across the street from a Pet Supplies Plus a mile away, then a LFS in the next town I don't get critters from the LFS very often because I was concerned about the 20 minutes in a bag in the car vs 3 minutes

I have to agree petsmart stands are cheaply made Its not hard to build your own stand There's plenty of DIY videos on you tube I'd does however sound like a good deal I just have a hard time trusting particle board tank stands that are expected to hold over 1000 lbs

Individual store In my small city, I surprisingly have 6 Petco, 4 Petsmart, and 5 LFS writhin 15-30 minutes from one another I’ve been to all of them The best is a Petsmart and Petco The Worst is a Petsmart followed by a LFS Then there is everything in between LFS doesn’t mean the best

Right now Petsmart is having very attractive prices on ensemble set ups There was one under discussion last week 125 gallon plus stand, hood with lights (can't remember about the filter) for a little over $400 00

These 'Petsmart' endlers won't be mixing with my Pure 'N' class Black Bar Endlers If you want to keep or breed pure 'Wild type' Endlers you can usually get them online but check first that the seller is a registered keeper breeder of pure Endlers (check them out at Endlers-USA com where there is a registry)
