I might as well say at once that I am not sure about this I think up until some time ago (mabe up unitl the major update of three days ago), I was running Gnome on xorg, and had Wayland installed but unused I also observe that I now only have Gnome on Wayland and Gnome Classic available before logging in (that much is certain) So it seems the update has removed my xorg session and defaulted
