best to get one from the PA program, this is what the NHSC site says: If the applicant is currently enrolled in the health professions training program, the recommendation letter should be from the department chair, faculty advisor, or a faculty member of that academic program who can attest to the applicant’s qualifications

I was a RT for 4 years before going to PA school The RT classes should count towards sgpa I would recommend working a couple years as a RT before going to PA school, this will give you excellent HCE as well as helping you out with your patient assessment skills and medical knowledge base Also, you will get to make some $$$ which is nice

PA can work in pre-anesthesia doing medical clearance exams But to actually be giving the sedation drugs - not really BUT there is an anesthesia assistant - AA Which is utlized in about 1 2 the states I think PAs make great applicants to the two year program - Pay is well above the average PA pay -

To expand more, I have a degree in dietetics and am a Registered Dietitian (RD) I plan on maintaining the RD credentials and hope to use that education in tandem with my PA degree, especially during patient education I was thinking on doing: Jane Doe, RD, MS, PA-C or Jane Doe, MS, PA-C, RD (or possibly eliminate the MS altogether)
