I miss the Cabelas brand too (especially the great sales) but it is what it is I buy alot of crankbaits from Bass Pro Cabelas and just this week bought a Quest Ulterra from there I buy from other places as well and where I buy depends on availability and price Bass Pro Cabelas is generally very competitive on prices

Cabelas used to have a very liberal return policy that was abused by a lot of people A bunch of guys would decide to go on a fishing trip, head to Cabelas and “buy” a bunch of gear, and then return it when the trip was over That stuff would end up in the bargain cave I scored some good deals there in the past

The Cabelas in Rapid City South Dakota should be the standard for all Cabelas When we stopped there last year they had an outstanding store that reminded me of the old Cabelas Everything was well stocked and the floor people seemed to be very well educated in what they were assigned to assist in selling
