- Largest boat you can practically trailer? - Boating Forum
Wife drives the boat (unless we're fighting wind and or current), I drive the truck, and it's pretty easy for us to get around Boat is 26' (28 1 2' overall) The cuddy is just big enough to nap (or use the porta potti) wifey wanted a trailerable cruiser but I wasn't on board with that (and I write the checks)
- HOW to remove old gas from internal gas tank - Boating Forum
Re: HOW to remove old gas from internal gas tank you can buy a small 12 volt fuel pump for about 20 bucks or less from an auto parts store (thats what I use for draining auto tanks) hook it right to your present fuel pickup line, if you have water you might want to closer to the the bottom of the tank, like gew said remove the sender stick the hose in there and pump away
- Who the heck makes this boat!?!?! - iboats Boating Forums
I have a 14'6" aluminum fishing boat On the side of the boat it says "Northwood" and that is also what is says on the title First problem, the only boat manufacturing company i've found named "Northwood" only makes 'toons and they've only been around since 2004 I beleive Whereas my boat was build in 1994
- Plug on the inside or outside of the boat? - Boating Forum
With a boat on plane water will rush out of the drain hole, so if you have a leak or take on a lot of water in a small boat without a bilge pump you can get her on a slow plane (bow high) and then pull the plug and the water will do it's thing
- Min boat size for Gulf (offshore) cruising - Boating Forum
I think it is a matter of type of boat as much as size There are some cuddy cabin boats that I wouldnt take out on a rough lake, let alone on the Gulf Memorial Day weekend 09 we had a 23ft or 24ft cabin cruiser flip over in a local lake due to bad weather, and I suspect ameteur driver, but it was ultimately blamed on the weather
- Minimum outboard size 14 boat - iboats Boating Forums
Re: Minimum outboard size 14' boat There are two parts of your question - how well will a small hp motor push a 14' boat, and also whether a fiberglass boat would be ok I have a 15' glass '60s runabout Heavy as sin (they all are) my 30lb electric will push it marginally, really tough in wind I also have a 14' tin starcraft
- Boat losing power at higher RPM - iboats Boating Forums
Re: Boat losing power at higher RPM I installed the fuel filter and the boat seemed to run better but after about an hour of running the boat I started having the same issues again Could this be water still making its way to the carburetor or could there be an another issue? Maybe with the distributor
