429 and 460 are basically the same thing as far as the 'early' 68-78 engines go 429 was made from 68 to 73, after that everything was a 460 only (except in large commercial trucks with had a "funky" 429 and 370 engines) The difference in cubic inches comes from the crank stroke

I know there are tons of "which cams are best" threads out there, but for about the last two weeks I've been researching which cam would be best for a STOCK 97 460, and have come up thousands of combinations for everyone's specific engine setup, but none for just a stock 460 What I'm wondering

We are going to require stock lift + - and pull a certain amount of vaccum maybe 15"-17" What are the stock specs for a 1973-1979 1980 and later 460 ford truck engine Also what do you think of these possible rules I thought they were around 467 484" lift and 206 212 @ 050" does that sound right ?
