People have been using long engine oil change interval in Europe for years with no problem, modern oil can go 15000 miles with no issues under normal driving conditions The lifetime tranny fluid can last probably up to 200,000 miles under normal conditions in my opinion, I have read about owners draining their lifetime tranny fluid at 150000

In 80k service, the technician noticed that the turbo oil feed lines and return lines are leaking oil BMW's estimate for replacing these lines was a whopping $9777 00 They claim that the engine has to come out of the car and turbos have to be removed to replace these lines Still a hefty price for replacing a couple of $10 parts

SA says the oil is coming from the oil pan gasket ($2700 repair), but may also be coming from the main seal ($2400 repair) given the amount of oil leaking They advised to replace the oil pan gasket, clean the area, then drive the car a few thousand miles to see if the main seal is also leaking Seems logical enough
