I also have the Meadowlands Farm for the first time, and just like you, I thought I should choose Rancher as my profession because I will be raising more animals than crops But then I realised that wasn't the best idea and changed my profession back to Tiller Artisan

If smoking fish with the 1 6 Fish Smoker machine doubles any fish price, then does the Angler profession that normally grants gives the price of the base fish a 50% boost, still get added to base price, then fish smoker doubles that total? If that doesn’t make sense let me know please

However I would say Artisan is the best farming profession regardless of what you do because every artisan good is boosted, not specific ones Usually you have a greenhouse too and with the new 1 5 0 mechanics and items you can build greenhouse-like sheds which are fare more profitable then a barn of 12 sheeps can ever be

These are best with crit builds which utilize their inherent crit chance modifier and them usually having crit chance and power stats to boot For gear, you generally want whatever boots you have available, and to prioritize immunity over defense, at least in most areas
